Job Summary
The Safety Manager develops, implements, and audits safety programs across our short line operations, ensuring compliance with FRA, OSHA, and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field audits and safety observations
- Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis
- Deliver employee safety training
- Maintain regulatory documentation
- Partner with operations leadership on continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years railroad or transportation safety experience
- Strong knowledge of FRA and OSHA regulations
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Excellent written and verbal communication
