Job Summary
Rio Grande Pacific is seeking experienced Locomotive Engineers to join our growing operations team. You will be responsible for the safe operation of freight trains, adherence to all federal and company safety regulations, and effective communication with dispatch and crew.
Responsibilities
- Operate locomotives in compliance with FRA and company rules
- Conduct pre-departure inspections
- Maintain accurate train logs
- Communicate with dispatch and conductors
- Respond to mechanical issues en route
Requirements
- Valid FRA Locomotive Engineer Certification
- Minimum 2 years of road engineer experience
- Clean safety record
- Ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
