Conductor / Welder

RGPC Industrial Rail Services is seeking an individual interested in a railroad career, particularly in roles such as Conductor, Engineer, and Mechanical Carman. This position is ideal for candidates with basic welding skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to learn quickly while supporting train service, equipment repair, fabrication, and rail yard maintenance.

• Perform switching, make-up and break-up of trains, and road haul train movements. • Oversee maintenance and repair of rail cars, tank cars, freight equipment, and locomotives. • Perform fabrication tasks, including welding new parts and components and installing upgrades on rail cars and locomotives. • Participate in track and rail yard maintenance tasks. • Maintain accurate records of cars handled, repairs performed, and track conditions encountered. • Complete accurate switch list paperwork, interchange records, and other assigned documentation. • Communicate with management, customer service teams, and connecting railroads.

• Basic stick welding skills required. • Certified Locomotive Engineers are preferred. • Must be willing to become a certified engineer as a condition of employment. • Valid driver's license required. • Must be able to successfully pass the operating rules examination. • Must be able to distinguish color signal aspects. • Self-motivated and able to work well in a team. • Must prioritize safety in all job functions.
